Use TV normally with Onkyo hts7300 turned off?
I have a 60" Sharp Aquos and Onkyo's HTS-7300 7.1 surround system.
Basically, everything is hooked up through the receiver and outputted to my TV via HDMI connections.
My question is, how can I use my TV normally with it's built in speakers when my home theater receiver is off?
When I turn the receiver off, my video/audio from any source shuts off as well and the tv is black.
I want to be able to watch the TV normally when my 2 year old is watching cartoons, but I don't want to have the 7.1 system/receiver on.
Thanks for any help!

Hi KOBALT,
On page 49 in the manual it explains on how you can accomplish what you want to do. Have you consulted this page in the manual yet?

I was able to turn the hdmi passthrough on. I don't remember what it's called in the settings, but found it deep within the receiver's menu.

Hi KOBALT,
It is called RIHD or remote interactive over HDMI and it is used to control other devices that have been connected to the receiver with HDMI. Also, when you turned on the RIHD did it resolve your issue?
