HT-RC360 GUI Help
Love the features of the HT-RC360, but I am having a problem with GUI overlay when I switch to different devices. I only need three of the inputs setup, the one I am having a problem with is the Net. When I switch to that input, I don't receive any GUI overlay. I also can't not find an @ or . to log into my Pandora account(requires email address) when using the unit's display. Nor have I seen the Onkyo menu like in the you tube videos. I can see the setup features that allow you to navigate the units setup. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: HT-RC360 GUI Help
Hi schwegs,
First, to find the @ symbol simply hit the shift key. As far as the issue with the GUI, I am going to ask you to perform a reset on your unit. Here is our blog post on the subject, please read it because it has all the information you need to know: http://onkyousacustomersupportblog.wordpress.com/2011/09/12/factory-reset/ Thank you.

Performed the reset and received the clear message, but no GUI on the net input selection. I did set the system back up after the reset. I found the @ and the ., I knew it was something simple for that. When trying to access the onkyo menu, you press the guide/top menu key? When on the setting for my xbox, I do get the gui for setup and display. But in the manual there is menu's for the net options like pandora.
Appreciate the help.

Hi schwegs,
My associate said, "The setup menu will appear on the TV when you select NET as your input source and do not enter setup mode on the receiver." Thank you for contacting Onkyo via our forum.

Re: HT-RC360 GUI Help
I figured that is what is suppose to do. But when i press the net input the screen flicks and then goes black. Like the GUI turned off. Is there a setting I have disturbed or something? I had to use a hdmi converter box to change the signal to component. My HD tv is old and doesn't have hdmi inputs. I can see the setup menu when selecting the game input, but if there is a home screen for the onkyo gui, then i haven't seen that.

Re: HT-RC360 GUI Help
Hi schwegs,
The reason you are not seeing any "net" menu option is because the unit does not video down conversion and in order to see the "net" menu you will need to connect the unit to a TV that has HDMI unfortunately. I think this is where the issue lies.

Re: HT-RC360 GUI Help
I would agree that is possible about the converter box and I will try another tv with HDMI. But the seperate converter box works with the setup screen on the game input.
I am also unable to connect to Pandora. I have re-entered account information several times. I know my account works because I have it on other devices. It is connected to the internet because I use the vturner also.

Re: HT-RC360 GUI Help
Hi schwegs,
I can login to pandora just fine using this same receiver so I do not think this a receiver issue per se. Can you login to Pandora from an associated computer on your home network?

Re: HT-RC360 GUI Help
I am having the same problem. I have an hdmi tv hooked up that shows all of the other menus properly but when I hit "net" there is no menu screen. Everything else seems to work fine.

Re: HT-RC360 GUI Help
I also found that the firmware would not update. It would lock up when asking if I was ready to update.
After reading through these threads I went and did a reset and that cleared all of my problems. Just thought I would share that in case others run into the same problem.
And be sure to use the buttons on the receiver when doing the reset. The power button on the remote would not work for me. That seems to be by design but it was not clear from the instructions I read.

Re: HT-RC360 GUI Help
Hi ScottR,
You are correct in that when a factory reset is done on the receiver it must be done on the front of the unit and not the remote. On page 65 of the owner’s manual it shows how to complete this. I will forward your suggestion to the appropriate department. Thank you for choosing Onkyo.
