TX-NR5009 won't let Projector turn on.

My Sony projector VPL-HW30AES will not turn on if Onkyo TX-NR5009 is turned on.
The Sony projector gives me an error message of ON/STANDBY flashes red at a repetition rate of 12 flashes.
I found a fix by turning off the Onkyo receiver TX-NR5009 and then turn on the projector wait for it to come on then turn on the receiver.

I tried hooking up the projector to my Denon receiver AVR-3312CI and there is no hand shake problem. Even tried hooking up projector directly to a Panasonic DMP-BDT210 3D Blu-ray disc player and had no problem. Only have a problem with the Onkyo Receiver.

Don't know if it is Sony's fault or Onkyo's fault.

Please make sure that in the setup menu of the TX-NR5009 item #7 Hardware sub menu #4 HDMI you have HDMI CONTROL (RIHD) turned ON that should resolve the issue you are having. Thank you for choosing Onkyo.
