Sirius Radio

I just got my NR 616 up and running. I have a current sirius radio subscription. Does anyone know if I get an Internet subscription too, will I be able to stream Sirius from my iPad?

Also, I have a 720p Pioneer plasma and I tried to do the 4k upscale and got a blank screen. Any suggestions?

You will need to contact Sirius Customer Service dept. to change your subscription to INTERNET streaming for mobile devices and PCs/ AVRs. There is a minimal additional charge for change up to INTERNET streaming capability for Sirius/XM. Lastly, 4k upscaling is only valid for 4k capable TV/Monitors; so if your TV/Monitor is capable of 4k resolution- this will be valid. Otherwise, the receiver has this FUTURE tense option for TV/ Projectors that will be available in the near future.

I realize there is an up charge for Sirius Internet service, but my question was will I be able to stream Sirius from my iPad through the receiver? I now can stream my iPod in my iPad using the Onkyo remote 2 app.

Yes- you are able to stream Sirius onto this receiver via USB or RCA ANALOG audio connections. You can also use a RCA Y-adaptor audio cable from the iPad onto the receiver as well. This will function using the STANDARD or EXTENDED OSD mode of the receiver. We have tested on a TX-NR 616 and was successful in streaming audio to the receiver.
