I am looking at the TX-NR616 to do the conversion from HDMI to Component. My older Mits ws-55511 only has component video. After reading the manual it appears that I can have component as my main output and use the PC HDMI input. Will this convert properly to component out? I have read about the firmware issues and the new fix. This should not affect my situation at the moment. I am more concerned with other threads about how PC HDMI input is not working properly.

On our receivers- you can't DOWNCONVERT from an HDMI INPUT connection and go out of the receiver using a COMPONENT VIDEO OUTPUT connection. Our receivers are capable of upconverting from COMPOSITE or COMPONENT thru HDMI- but downconvert from HDMI into COMPONENT or COMPOSITE.
