TX-NR809 Multiple speaker setup
Hello,
I upgraded from an Onkyo TX-DS838 to the TX-NR809.
On my 838 there is an option for speaker A or B.
Does the 809 offer that option?, to change from one set of speakers to another?
What I'm trying to do is have my set of Bose surround sound for my home theater movies, and my set of Polks for music and Karaoke-ing.
I see there is Zone 2&3, and tried those connections and reading the manual but no luck to get the speaker setup right.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I would be interested if there ever was an answer given to this post. It seems a simple solution, definitely as long as Zone2 has it's own external amp, using Zone2 pre-out?

Re: TX-NR809 Multiple speaker setup
Hi christiansack,
The answer to this question is it should work on zone-2 or zone-3 as long as the inputs are connected via analog from the source and the zones are activated. The same holds true for the pre-outs on this unit. Also they are active all the time.
