TX-NR609 digital audio drop outs
I have a TX-NR609 connect to cisco tv set top box, apple TV, XBOX 360, all with hdmi. The hdmi out goes to Samsung 7900 TV.
Does not matter which source i connect to, there are audio drop outs where the sounds stops, the display on the 609 goes off, then comes back. It is like it keeps loosing sync and has to figure everything out again. This happens very frequently, some times every few seconds, to every few minutes.
These are the steps I have taken after reading this forum first.
1) Firmware - updated to the latest via ethernet connection.
2) Factory Reset - I am up to 3 times on this
3) Change the digital audio from hdmi to optical cable.
4) remove hdmi from one source completely - used component and optical
5) same thing happens on EACH source be it xbox, apple tv or STB.
All of these steps had zero effect on the audio drop outs. Switching the audio to analogue does fix it, but that is not an aceptable solution.

Apologies for the late response but it seems there may be an issue withe TX-NR609. Depending on when it was purchased and the dealers exchange policy you may return it to them for an exchange. Or you may take/send it to one of our authorized service centers which can be found on our website at www.onkyousa.com under support.
