Internet radio zone 2 nr717

I am a little confused about the zone 2 capabilities with internet radio. The manual says no digital inputs can be played in zone 2/3 and am not sure if the internet radio through the receiver counts as digital or analog. Also i was wondering if it is possible to only have mono sound in zone 2/3 as I only want one speaker in each room. Thanks for the help.

As the USB and NET inputs utilize the internal DAC of the receiver; it will be outputted thru the DAC as an analog audio signal. Inputs that are A/V equipped (i.e.: HDMI/ COMPONENT inputs via BD/DVD, CBL/SAT, GAME, etc.) will require a separate ANALOG AUDIO connection for Multi-zone playback. Since you are looking to provide a single speaker for Multi-Zone broadcasting on your receiver; it will output 2.0 Stereo audio output for the multi-zone channels. Depending on the source media and audio format; some channels will output in either the LEFT or FRONT speaker channel. Depending on the receiver; if it has the option on TONE and BALANCE for MULTI-ZONE- you can make such adjustments using the BALANCE control to the appropriate speaker channel.
