Txnr-818 and Roku issue
Folks,
I am trying to use a Roku via HDMI straight into my 818 and all I get is the "No video signal"-no matter which HDMI input I use. Is anyone successfully using a Roku in their 818? If so, would you be willing to share the settings you use on that particular HDMI input (and any other changes you might have made) on the 818 so I can see if it is my AVR? The Roku works fine plugged directly into the TV but that is NOT how I want to use it.
Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Re: Txnr-818 and Roku issue
I Uue the PC input.
Workflow> Setup> 1 Input/Output assign>2 HDMI Input>Select PC Hdmi5.
Attach Roku with HDMI to input PC (5)
Power up roku. Switch to PC
Check that your HDMI out is from the main out port to display (preferably HDMI 1)
Switch display to HDMI 1.
Switch Onkyo to PC
You should be good to go but there may be an issue unless you set up the Onkyo to Direct. Workflow >setup>5 Picture adjust> picture mode> direct.

Re: Txnr-818 and Roku issue
Doug, thanks for the reply.
Here is what I did as I have my PC assigned to the PC HDMI input.
I used the BD/DVR input.
Workflow> Setup> 1 Input/Output assign>2 HDMI Input>Selected BD/DVR HDMI 1.
Attached Roku with HDMI to input BD/DVR (1)
Powered up roku. Switched to BD/DVR
Checked that my HDMI out is from the main out port to display (HDMI 1 on TV)
Switch display to HDMI 1 (It was on this already as the PC needs HDMI 1 to display correctly)
Switch Onkyo to PC
You should be good to go but there may be an issue unless you set up the Onkyo to Direct. Workflow >setup>5 Picture adjust> picture mode> direct. (I switched to direct from IFS day).
I still get a "No signal" notification on the 818 and the typical blue screen.
Can you suggest anything else that comes to mind? I set the Roku up when connected to the TV so I know that works.
Thanks much,
Jeff

Re: Txnr-818 and Roku issue
Try unplugging the power on the roku leaving all else as you have set them up, input selection is not that important as long as you set that input up properly.
Once powered down, repower the roku. It should work. If not... make sure the roku input is indeed set to Direct on the avr. You should see the roku home screen.
Also try the roku site for an answer.

Good luck!
