Display Custom Text on Front Display?

Is is possible to display custom text on the front display of the TX-NR709 via the RS232 protocol? I skimmed through an older copy of the RS232 documentation at one point and don't remember seeing anything about this but is it possible? If not, I would request that you add this capability since another "big brand" AVR manufacturer allows this. Thanks.

If you are referring to changing the name of the INPUTS from BD/DVD to a more specific title (i.e: displaying SONY BD player instead of BD/DVD, or displaying DIRECT TV instead of CBL/SAT); you can easily use the NAME EDIT option in the SETUP menu under SOURCE SETUP> NAME EDIT. If you are referring to something more extensive; please clarify so I can further assist you.

I am referring to displaying any custom text on the front display at any time sent with a command via the RS232 protocol. For example, displaying the current weather forecast by sending commands over RS232 from an attached PC.

Referred to an senior Engineer; and reviewing the ISCP protocol spreadsheet- there is NO compatible command to allow this option unfortunately.
