TX SR605 Zone 2 - cannot activate Empty TX SR605 Zone 2 - cannot activate

I have a TX SR605. I recently connected speakers to it, but cannot activate zone 2. When I go to hardware setup, zone 2 is grayed out and I cannot activate it or even choose it. is it a firmware issue or something. if so how do you update the firmware?
