Which digital format to use in optical connection
I have an older TX-SR702 receiver. I just purchased a new Samsung UN55D7100 HDTV and will be hooking the audio up via an optical cable to the optical input on the receiver. The TV gives me the following SPDIF options for digital format: PCM, Dolby Digital or DTS. Which format should I use to make best use of my receiver.

Re: Which digital format to use in optical connection
Hi slagni,
It is best to let the receiver decode what is coming in automatically and if you don't like the way it sounds you may always change it to another available listening mode.
Thank you.
