DLNA Large Library Navigation

I have an Onkyo TX-NR706 of which I am very happy with. Lots of stuff for the cash - great value onkyo.
No issues really, just looking for a way to quickly navigate 10,000+ files. It seems with the remote you can only step through one file at a time.
Is there any easier way?
Maybe Onkyo Engineers need to conisder adding some feature. I would suggest something like this on the remote :
^ back 1 file
v forward 1 file
thats how it functions now.
add
< back 1 letter
> forward 1 letter
The old roku soundbridge had this feature and sure was handy.
the search is a real pain. should be upgraded to emulate a cellphone keyboard for texting since the remote has the telephone/number/letter pad.
Come on, it takes to long to scroll through 10,000 files
