iPad Onkyo Remote App Issues
I have a tx-nr809 and recently downloaded the Onkyo Remote 2 app. The app seems to work fine, except in 2 situations.
1. Powering on doesn't always work. It seems as if I have to power on the receiver first. If I power on the receiver independently of the app, I can then shut it off with the app and even turn it back on with the app, but the first time I turn it on, it cannot be through the app. So, each time the unit sits off (in standby) for a while, I have to power on independent of the app.
2. The enter button doesn't seem to do anything in Pandora when I am trying to update my profile to indicate that I like a song.
***Btw - the power problem also occurs with my android version of onkyo remote.

Unfortunately, the App was only designed for the iPhone and iPod. There is no guarantee that all the features or if any of the features will work on the iPad. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for choosing Onkyo.

Im having a similar problem
Hi, the problem i experience is that I can't turn on the reciever using the remote app (either on iphone or ipad). Once i have turned on the reciever manually i can then control it from the app and even turn it off, but cant turn it back on from the app. Any advice?

Hi, I was just able to fix the problem. First I enabled Network Control, and then reinstalled the app. Works great! Thanks
