HT-R980 HDMI sync issue. Help!
I have an HT-R980 that I have connected to a Optoma HD20 with a 35ft HDMI cable. The 2 HDMI inputs are a cable box and a PS3. For almost a year things have been working fine, until 2 weeks ago. For some reason it seems like the signal isn't syncing between the reciever and the projector. When I turn on the projector, PS3 and reciever the screen shows searching.... then flashes 1960 x 1080 60HZ then blinks and then shows No Signal, then repeats the same loops over and over again. Occasionally, the sounds will come through, but no picture. If I try the cable signal I get a similar result: 1960 x 1080 30HZ and eventually a picture shows, but no sound.
Everything used to work fine. Sound, picture, everything. I could switch between inputs without a problem. Now, I canoot get consistent signals to be processed. I have tried to inplug everything. Power, cables, and still similar results.
Is there a way to force sync the HDMI signals between the source, reciever and display? I have not tried a factory reset, but I would like to not have to do that if I can avoid it. Any help would be appreciated.

When having HDMI issues we like to suggest that you run through our HDMI Checklist to see if any of these help to correct the issue.
