Spotify - empty playlists
i have been trying to use my 709 with spotify. I was able to log in after getting my "device login" from spotify; i can see my playlists, but they all show up as empty. i am using the onkyo wireless adapter. thanks in advance for any help.
(PS - i was impressed with how nice Pandora sounded via the 709).

Hi oleus,
How do you have your TX-NR709 connected to your network, wired or wireless?

Hi oleus,
Thank you. Can you play anything on "Vtuner" such as a local station?

i haven't tried vtuner, but Pandora worked fine with the wireless adapter.
it's seeing all my updated Spotify playlists, but all playlisted are listed as empty. This is my second 709 and the problem has happened on both units.

Hi oleus,
I just tested a couple of playlists on our end using the UWF-1 and they all work fine. Is it possible that something in your router is blocking them for some reason.

thanks for checking. i'll play around with it some more. honestly, the spotify interface in the 709 is clunky enough that i doubt i'd use it much anyway.

Re: Spotify - empty playlists
i noticed that if i was hooked up via ethernet, i could play songs. once i use the wireless adapter, spotify sees the playlists but lists them as empty. i'm never had an issue playing spotify songs wirelessly on my laptop...

Hi oleus,
When using the UWF-1 please try turning MAC Filtering off in your router and see if you are able to get it to work then. Here is our blog post on MAC Filtering: http://onkyousacustomersupportblog.wordpress.com/2012/01/26/mac-filtering-faq-uwf-1/ Please keep us posted, thank you!

I will, thanks.
for the record, I have found many others on avsforum.com on the audyssey and onkyo threads having the same issues. so i'm not the only one
this is my SECOND 709, had to send my first one back because the rear surround output stopped working. But I had the same issue with Spotify on that receiver too, so i'll try the router fix that was previously mentioned.
