ONKYO TX-SR706 Loud High-pitched noise at start up.

My 706 emits a VERY loud and high-pitched noise from all of the speakers at start up. It's so loud, I'm afraid it will damage my speakers. It happens every time the receiver is turned on. Can anyone help?
