3D & Non 3D will it work ?
I have a new Onkyo NR-717
monitor out main is connected via hdmi to a NON 3D sony set it is a 1080p though. (Sony kds-60a3000)
monitor out sub is connected via hdmi to a 3D epson projector (epson 5020ub)
I have tried all the configurations I could think of & none work, when I try and play a 3d channel off of directv on the projector
I get an error that the set does not support 3d (projector does but the Sony does not)
it will work if I unplug the hdmi from the Sony set the 3D works ok on the projector.
is there anything else I can try instead of unplugging the non-3D set ?
this is only a 3D issue all other video is fine 1080i/1080p on both sets.

Re: 3D & Non 3D will it work ?
Yes this will occur when you have both HDMI OUTPUTS enabled in the SETUP menu under INPUT/OUTPUT ASSIGN> MONITOR OUT. Change the setting from BOTH to either HDMI MAIN or HDMI SUB (depending on what device you are currently using for 3D broadcasting). If you are using the projector- change the MONITOR OUT option to HDMI SUB to not affect the HDMI MAIN's output and be presented a RESOLUTION ERROR message.

Thanks
I changed the monitor out to use only the proj. when I'm on 3d & now it's working without errors.
now back to my Sirius radio problem, I'm contacting them today to see if they have any suggestions
on why my status is listed as "closed" after I sign in, but it's ok on my computer.

FYI on Sirius radio
If you sign up for the "TRIAL" version of Sirius (30 day) it will not work on the Onkyo nr-717 it will allow you to log in but will not play music
you will get an error message "unable to play" but it will work when you actually sign up for internet Sirius paid subscription.
just an fyi
