TX-NR5008 Cablebox to receiver advice needed
Hi,
I have a TX-NR5008. Currently, I have my cable box attached to my receiver by component video cables and a digital audio cable. I purchased an HDMI cable to connect the back of my cable box ((Explorer 8300HD from Cablevision) to my HDMI 3 input (cab/sat) on the back of the receiver. When I try to do this there is no sound or audio unless I reconnect the component or digital audio cable. In setup, I checked to make sure the input of HDMI 3 was indeed marked for cab/sat. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I am going to ask you to run through our HDMI Checklist.
