TX-NR709 Lost Ability To Listen Through Tv Speakers
I was able to set the receiver to Cabl/Sat and then turn the receiver off and listen through the internal TV speakers. I know there is something in the receiver settings to correct this, but I can't figure it out. The TV is connected to the receiver with a HDMI cable. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi leeschumer,
Are you trying to use the HDMI pass through function? This will allow both audio and video to come through the receiver regardless of whether or not it is in standby mode. To activate the HDMI pass through feature you will go into the hardware setup menu. All this information can be found on page 58 of your manual. If you do not have a manual please view our blog post on how to download one: http://onkyousacustomersupportblog.wordpress.com/2011/09/13/owner%e2%80%99s-manuals/
