No display or sound on Blueray

Have a TX-NR609 receiver connected by HDMI to a Samsung 51" TV -- VCR and Wii connected to receiver with composite cables works ok. Internet radio or iPod by USB works ok. Have a Panasonic DMP-BD87D-K Blueray player connected to the HDMI BD/DVR input and all I get is a blue screen and no sound. When I connect to the Aux input, I get picture, but no sound. Please help.
