TX-NR709 hdmi through audio
Hello,
I have a LG 32LC41 (Simplink disabled) connected to my receiver which is set to pass through both audio and video. It was working just fine until a couple a weeks ago. Since I don't hear any audio from TV and I have to turn on the receiver. When I go to settings and turn on Audio TV Out I still can't hear any audio from TV because receiver says muting is on. If I disable muting audio starts again but not from TV speakers but from regular speakers.
If I do a software restart and HDMI through starts to work as expected (receiver is turned off and audio is send to TV). The only problem is that I loose all the settings and this is the 2nd time in a month that I will have to do that and it starting to get a bit annoying. Any ideas where the problem might be? And yes, I'm running the latest firmware . I use Logitech Harmony if it helps in any way.
Thanks

Hi Eragon,
There is not a whole lot to set on the receivers end to make this work (Setup => Hardware setup => HDMI, "set the HDMI control to (on) ) and it should work. Have you checked the owners’ manual of the TV to see if there is any adjustment that needs to made?

Hi,
Yes I tried that already and it says no RHID device detected. Also this doesn't explain why it's working after software restart and suddenly after some time (week) it stops. Also I think the Audio TV Out option means don't use AVR speakers but use TV speakers instead which is not the case in my problem.

Hi Eragon,
The only other option you have is to either take or send it to one of our authorized service centers for further evaluation. Authorized service centers can be found on our website at www.onkyousa.com under support.
