Onkyo TX-SV919THX and Onkyo PR-SC5508
I have one of the Original TX-SV919 Recievers (which I love and still works fantastic). I am hoping to stretch the life of it and was thinking about adding a PR-SC5508 to my setup.
1) Can or do these two units interconnect?
2) If, so would I still need my ED-301 or would thePR-SC5508 replace it?
3) Does Onkyo manufacture something different that would be better suited to the TX-SV919?
4) Am I better to just look at a newer Onkyo Home theater receiver?
Thanks for any guidance or recommendations.

Hi R Dawson,
1. Yes, you can put the two together.
2. There would be no need for the ED 301 when he goes with the PRSC 5508.
3. For a complete unit you sould look into TXNR 70 9 because of the wattage that the system (919) orignally supports.
4. Its really up to you. If you want to get rid of the whole thing or use the 919 as an amp and go with the pre amp. Unless you don't have the room in the cabinet that you are using then you should go with the 709 receiver.
