problem with vtuner
Hi, i have a problem with my Onkyo TX-NR509.
When i choose the "vtuner" button on the TV screen it shows "no item". Other internet radio stations like last.fm are working.
I have a LAN connection via cable to my router. My other devices like TV or BD-Player do their jobs very well.
I have the last firmware update on my Onkyo since last sunday.
The last time i used vtuner for long time was on sylvester evening.

Re: problem with vtuner
Hi bulaloki,
It sounds like the receiver has lost a connection to this particular service. Let's try unplugging the Ethernet cable from the back of the receiver and then do a factory reset. To do the reset you need to turn the receiver on, then on the front panel of the receiver press and hold the "VCR/DVR" button while doing that press the "STANDBY/ON" button. You will see the word "Clear" in the display screen and the receiver will go into standby mode. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR AUDIO & VIDEO ASSIGNMENTS ON THE RECEIVER PLUS YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR SPEAKER CONFIGURATIONS, SPEAKER DISTANCE AND ALL LEVEL CALIBRATION SETTINGS. YOU WILL ALSO LOSE ANY PROGRAMMED RADIO STATIONS IN MEMORY. Once the receiver goes into standby mode turn it back on and put the Ethernet cable back in and go thru the setup menu for all custom settings again. Keep in mind that you will not loose the new version of firmware you just installed.

Thank you for the quick answer,
i did the factory reset, but i have the same problem. When i choose "vtuner", "no item" is written on the display / TV screen. All other services like last.fm, dlna work very well.

VTuner Problem
Did you fix this problem. this could be a problen with your net connection. I had a similar problem with my TX NR 609 for the last couple of days. I contacted the net service provider and chacke wether they have made any changes to my net connection. They told me thay are streaming out and ad cliping and I found out that cliping is blocking the VTuner. i asked them to put me in a diffrent IP pool and things started working fine.bulaloki wrote:Hi, i have a problem with my Onkyo TX-NR509.

Hi salilt,
Thank you for the input. Which ISP and what model router do you have as this may help other people in this forum with the same situation as you were in?

Hi folks,
i don´t know what has happened but i can receive vtuner now!
A few months ago, i did the factory reset and it didn´t work.
I did the setup, and it didn´t work.
I had checked my ISP, and they said "everything is allright, sir!", and it didn´t work...
and now, i thought "let´s try it for the last time, and throw the amp through the window if it will not receive vtuner".... hehehehe...and now...i can
receive vtuner!!!
I have no idea how or why....since my last post here i havn´t changed anything....
Cheers, Loki
