Onkyo nr809 turns on for three seconds and shuts off
Hi, I have a brand new Onkyo NR809 that I am powering with a 220-110 step down transformer. The transformer is 15A. When I turn the amp on, it powers on and I hear a few relays click. Three seconds later, two (the same 2?) relays click and the receiver powers off.
Is this a warranty issue or am I doing anything wrong? This also happens when all cables (speaker etc) are disconnected from the amp.
I have tried a reset and the issue persists.

Hi zubairajaz,
The receivers are not designed to use these types of converters and it is not recommended, it is recommended to purchase the receiver in the country you are in as they are made for that country. This is not a warranty issue.
