Hello, I own the TX-NR609. My issue:

I have my LCD/LED flatscreen TV as my HDMI output. I usually have my PC connected and displayed for most of the day. At night my TV display goes into 'sleep mode' (a timer setting within the TV menu). When it goes into sleep mode the Onkyo creates a large 'blue square' on the center of the display. In order for the blue square to go away I need to either power off the receiver or completely power off the TV (press the hardware off button).

The issue is that the blue square stays on the screen overnight. A burn-in affect is starting to happen on the display (very damaging).

Question:
1) Is there a way to remove the blue square being sent from the receiver to the TV output? Note: I sometimes see the blue square briefly when switching between inputs (e.g. PC, Cable, etc.).

Any ideas or firmware update to try? Note: I'm using the latest firmware (xxx-1604).

Hi scottpet1973,
Does it do that when you connect it to a regular TV? If not then it would be a setting in your PC causing the issue.

The blue square shows up on all displays (I've tried 2 TV's, as well as some large computer monitors). When the displays are not plugged into the Onkyo - the blue square does not appear. The signal from the receiver is creating the blue square it appears. I do not experience the blue square when the displays are directly connected to the computer - btw.
