tx-nr509 troubles
recently started having troubles with my TX-NR509, i updated to last firmware the other day and now whenever i turn off my reciever and turn it back on the HDMI inputs seem to not work, I literally have to unplug a HDMI cable and plug it back in for it to pick up a signal, but once i turn the reciever off and back on I have to unplug the HDMI cables again for it to work again, anyone else ever have this problem?

Hello Soviet,
What I would like for you to try is to resetting the unit. Here is the link that can help on resetting the receiver: http://onkyousacustomersupportblog.wordpress.com/2011/09/12/factory-reset/

Re: tx-nr509 troubles
Hi Soviet,
Unfortunately there is no way to revert to the previous firmware version. If the reset did not resolve this issue then the receiver will need to go to a service center for further evaluation. Authorized service centers can be found on our website at www.onkyousa.com under support.

Onkyo provides two solutions to every Onkyo problem --
1. Reset the unit to factory defaults.
If that doesn't work,
2. Send unit for repair, paying the shipping both ways.
The ultimate solution is to never again buy Onkyo.

Hi JNagarya,
Thank you for the assistance but if it is under warranty then as it states you only pay to ship to the service center and we will pay the return.
Thank you.

Yes: even under warranty the customer must pay shipping -- and it is not reimbursed, even if the defect is the fault of Onkyo and covered by the warranty.
