In Windows 8 my TX-NR414 is detected as a dlna device, but shows as Not Windows Certified, meaning it can't be selected as Play To Device from modern UI apps like the oob Music app.
Are there already plans to provide an updated driver/firmware to fully support Windows 8?

I have the same question about the TX-NR809 - I can use Play To from the Windows 8 desktop when using Windows Media Player, but the receiver is not listed when using the Xbox Music app from the modern UI (formerly known as Metro). Thanks.

I'm not certain if there was an update to the Xbox Music app or not, but I can now play music to my TX-NR809 from the Music app. When I have songs playing, I can open the charm bar (Windows Key + C) and select Devices, then select my 809. The music starts playing after a few seconds. I have noticed that some of my songs won't let me play them on the Onkyo, which I assume is due to some kind of content protection issue with the songs.

I didn't post this before, but the 809 is recognized as a certified DLNA device.

Anyway, my issue has been resolved.
