Audyssey Microphone Issue

Greetings-
I have been working to calibrate my new TX-NR509 receiver using the Audyssey 2EQ calibration. My first attempts with the supplied microphone yielded the "Could Not Detect" error. After thoroughly rechecking and verifying my panel connections, I wasn't able to get anywhere until I plugged in another microphone that I had hanging around. The receiver was able to calibrate using that microphone. The downside there was that I could not calibrate from the seating positions because my mic's cable is too short. I can only conclude that the supplied Audyssey microphone is defective. How can I arrange for a replacement? Thanks, and I am otherwise very impressed with the receiver. Great value!
