TXSR 805 - 3D possible???
I have a Panasonic DMPBDT320 3D blue ray player and a Panasonic Viera 60" GT50 series 3D Plasma connected to a TXSR 805 via HDMI. The problem is i get an error stating that i do not have it connected to a 3D source. I have looked on message boards online that state i can adjust a setting to keep the receiver from trying to upconvert thus just allowing the signal to pass through the receiver. Is this so? Trying to watch a 3D movie on my new TV, really dont want to buy a new receiver.
Thanks for any help!!

Nope
You can't get 3D through it. The receiver will not pass thru HDMI 1.4
The way around it is to get a 3D Blu-Ray player with dual HDMI outputs. One HDMI cable goes to the receiver for sound and the other goes to the TV for video.
The dual out players aren't cheap.

Yes possible..
Hi Malone2378, Yes you can use your Onkyo TXSR 805. I have a TX-SR706 before I bought a new Onkyo with the 3D pass through.
What I did was run the HDMI cable from your 3D Blu-Ray player directly into one of the HDMI inputs on your TV. Then run a OPTICAL (Digital Optical Audio Cable) to your receiver to a available Optical INPUT.
Make sure you go into settings and set the input where you put the optical cable in the Onkyo.
To enjoy with 3D Put your system on. Put your 3D movie in the Blu-Ray player. Switch your TV's HDMI for where you just ran the HDMI cable from Blu-Ray player, ie: HDMI2, etc.. Then on the Onkyo hit the Aux. and set for where you put the optical in on the receiver. Your TV's volume should be off.. if not turn down or mute.
You should be able to enjoy your 3D movies and your Onkyo until you can upgrade.
Hope this helps. Ciao, FlyByNgt
