Bi-wiring with the TX-8050
I just purchased the TX-8050 receiver and was wondering if I could bi-wire it with my two speakers. I know this is a fairly common setup - using two sets of speaker wire per speaker - in order to separate the highs and lows. I do notice that there is no mention of bi-wiring in the TX-8050 Instruction Manual but a somewhat vague statement there about not connecting more than one cable to a speaker terminal: "Don’t connect more than one cable to each speaker terminal. Doing so may damage the receiver." I'm not sure if this statement is essentially referring to bi-wiring since to do so would necessitate two cables/wires connected to a terminal, even if via one banana plug (both wires feeding into one plug or one plug plugged into another which is plugged into the receiver's speaker terminal). So, is bi-wiring ok or not ok for this receiver?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi daver5,
Unfortunately, bi-wiring is not possible on this unit. Thank you for choosing Onkyo.

What about Bi-Amping
In a few days I'll be pairing my TX-8050 with a set of Polk Monitor 40s which have 2 sets of posts for bi-amping. Is there any reason I couldn't/shouldn't connect one set of the Monitor's posts to the 8050's "Speakers A Terminals" and the other set of posts to "Speakers B"?
Thanks.
Thanks.
