Hi gustav,
How many speakers are you trying to hook up to the receiver?

Re: Onkyo Tx-NR515 Speaker detect problem during audyssey setup
Hi gustav,
If the surround speakers are connected to the surround back terminals this error will occur. In a 5.1 setup the surrounds need to be placed in the surr Left and Right and not the Surround back Left and Right.

Re: Onkyo Tx-NR515 Speaker detect problem during audyssey setup
Gustave, switch the RS with the LS on the amp. See if it fires during the test. If so, you may have a bad wire to the failing speaker ot eh speaker itself.
At least you will know.
You could also move the failing speaker to the front and the working front to the surround.
Usually the simplest test finds the best answers.
All the best,
Doug K
