TX-8050 receiver emitting noise

Although extremely happy with the functionality of the receiver, I am a little disappointed with the humming noise from the unit (not the speakers). The noise increases as I raise the volume and is persistent even when I power off the unit.

Has anyone experienced this issue and if so how has it been resolved

If you have a humming noise from the receiver itself then there may be an internal issue with it as this should not happen. I would suggest returning it to the dealer for an exchange if you are within their exchange period.
