Input selector lights on TX-NR809 don't light up?
I need to know how do I get the input lights on the front panel to light up. They are the ones that show what device is on like the BD/DVD, phono, DVR, VCR, CABL/SAT etc... These devices are not lit when they are in use. Am I missing something?

Hi rhodyray,
These lights should just come on automatically. First, I would like you to make sure that dimmer has not be turned on. This is a very simple things to do and can be located on page 40 of your owners manual under display brightness. If this is not the case please let us know so we can troubleshoot this further. Thanks!
If you do not have a manual please read our blog post on how to download one: http://onkyousacustomersupportblog.wordpress.com/2011/09/13/owner%e2%80%99s-manuals/

Brightness is on. I called Onkyo and they said these lights don't go on. Which is it? I am talking about the source buttons for BD/DVD, VCR/DVR, PC, AUX, CABL/SAT, TUNER, PHONO etc. I thought a light would display for whatever device is in use. Is this correct or not?

Hi Hi rhodyray,
That is correct these do not light up. From your original questions I thought you were talking about the display, I apologies for the misunderstanding. Thanks for contacting Onkyo via our forum!

Thanks for your help. Still trying to get the UFW-1 to connect. I installed the firmware update but know I am told that I need to do a reset of the receiver then look to connect UFW-1. I have not done that but I will try it. I thought updating firmware would resolve the problem. Didn't know I still had to reset receiver.

Hi rhodyray,
Did you try our suggestion that we put in your other post regarding the UWF-1? Please try to connect with an ethernet cable before performing the reset on your receiver. This will determine if the issue is with the adapter or with the receiver itself. Thank you!
