Pricing in Canada

As much as I liked the Onkyo 3400 system that I listened at my friend's place, I dislike the pricing in Canada
The same unit (not just this, almost all models) sell for almost double the price in Canada.
eg: 3400 in US ($249) and Canada ($499)...Even at sale, they do not come below $399.
This is such a ridiculous markup...I also found that Onkyo has online store in US, but no shipping to Canada. Onkyo Canadian store is a joke.
This is not a problem with the retailers...The MRSP for the same model in US is $379 and in Canada, it is $499...Even Apple understood the earlier days of such high markup and now the difference is max. $20.
Unless u fix this, it is tough to gain marketshare in Canada among budget HTIB customers.
