Onkyo maybe you could get some engineers to look over this data??
Ok I am just posting this information for information purposes only. This was posted by a person on the Roku forum regarding the Onkyo and Roku2 issues. If we could possibly get an expert to actually look this over and not just a moderator if would be nice to see if they are actually viable conclusions.
Onkyo (TX-NR609) “Pink Screen” ➡ [BUG]
by roku5 » Tue Dec 04, 2012 10:50 pm
.
.
From (Onkyo_TX-NR609 & Samsung TV) tests,
It seems that the Onkyo AVR revises the TV’s "HDMI black level" setting when several devices are connected to the Onkyo while one (or more) of those devices outputs RGB (Limited/Full).
FYI, “RGB limited” is the standard RGB range for TV’s. (all compliant products should support “RGB limited”)
In short,
- The AVR unit is at fault; it confuses the TV’s "HDMI black level" (RGB range) mode switches, that ‘d result in “Pink screen” (a color space mismatch error) and “Black crush”.
- This issue may not apply to all Onkyo AVRs models.
- So fare, none of tests suggested that Roku2 is at fault.
So, if you have supportive technical info suggesting that Roku2 is at fault, please share it.

Re: Onkyo maybe you could get some engineers to look over this data??
I am not for either company here. I would just like to see a fix here. So let me ask this Mr. Moderator.
Is there anyone at Onkyo that would or could refute this gentlemans' findings? If they can refute it, is there any technical information they could post here to refute this gentlemans' findings? I would happily repost them over on the Roku forum. With Roku's stubborn refusal to attempt to make any contact with Onkyo engineers I would post anything from here over there that could help.

I will forward this to our on-site Engineer and overseas department as well for further evaluation and research. When new information arises- I will post onto the forum promptly. Have a great weekend!!
