NR509 Set topbox issue
Hi
i had an onix set top box connected to my 509 via HDMI and it worked fine, but recently give up so i bought a new Teac mod no.HDB849
The sound works fine but the Video just slowly turns off and on for up to 5 seconds at a time ?
Ive done a Factory Reset , Tried different HDMI Ports , Different HDMI cables But nothing works ? when i go into Onkyo Menu the video turns off for longer and much more faster.
Ive tested the Teac on other TV's and it works fine . and my 3d Blueray player has no vidoe issues at all ?
Please help

Re: NR509 Set topbox issue
Hi casha55,
When you say "Slowly turns off and on for up to 5 sec” it sounds like the receiver is attempting to lock in on the signal and this is normally caused by the HDMI cable length. How long is the HDMI cable from the back of the receiver to the TV? If your blue ray player is working fine through the receiver then what I'd like to try is to connect the HDMI cable in where you have the HDB849 going in and see if this works. If it does then I suggest contacting Teac for further instructions on your issue. Thank you.

Re: NR509 Set topbox issue
Hi casha55,
Thank you for this information but if you've pretty much done the factory reset of the receiver which is the last resort and it did not resolve the issue and you've made several different changes then I suggest it be further evaluated by a service technician. They can be found on our website at www.onkyousa.com under support.

Hi Louie
ive had nothing but trouble and the lack of reply from onkyo Australia was pathetic , i am on my second receiver and it still doing the same thing. it seems when ever the Epson projector and the Receiver are connected via HDMI they just dont get along and both companies are blaming each other.
Boith work indepentedntly of each other.
If you want to discuss over the phone i will message you my number.
