Zone-2 NET delay

Post  garland.larry@gmail.com on Thu Dec 13, 2012 7:21 pm

I have a TX-NR609 receiver. When selecting "NET" for both zones there is a slight delay in zone-2 from zone-1. Any idea what might be causing this. It's annoying. Thanks.

This is due to the DSP processing for main listening zone; whereas the ZONE 2 uses ANALOG audio and doesn't need to be processed via the Digital Signal processing board. You can try using the DIRECT listening mode for the MAIN listening mode to bypass the DSP board (which will minize the delay) or select ANALOG as the AUDIO SELECTOR to eliminate the processing delay and have both MAIN ZONE and ZONE 2 output audio with NO delay.

Zone-2 NET Delay

Post  garland.larry@gmail.com on Sat Dec 15, 2012 7:19 pm

There is no button for "DIRECT" on this N. American version of this receiver only "MUSIC OPTIMIZER" and there does not seem to be a way to select anything other than "DIGITAL on the NET input setting. What do you suggest.

Thanks,
