Bi-amp 818 front channels via pre-outs
I am wondering if it is possible, and if so what the procedure is, to configure the TX-NR 818 with the front channels bi-amped via pre-outs and utilizing the internal digital crossover?
Until I decide to utilize an additional amp, I would then be running the front 3 channels via pre-outs with external amplification and the surround and surround backs via the 818’s built-in amps. I do not intend to utilize front wide or high channels. If I do then add additional external amplification, will it be possible to run a bi-amped(fronts) 7.1 configuration?
I have looked through the manual and searched this forum but have been unable to find (or possibly understand) a solution. Can you articulate the various speaker/pre-out connection options for the 818?
Thank you.
(sorry if this has been covered andI just couldn't find it)
