Two issues with TX-SR501 receiver Empty Two issues with TX-SR501 receiver

Hey all, I did some searching but most topics appear to be related to newer receivers and issues with internet radio and such...

I have two issues I'd like some feedback on. First, when the sound is low I am able to hear what I believe is radio from the tuner through the sub. I hear there may be a filter that could solve this but I have no idea where to find it or what it may be called. Any thoughts?

Next, I occasionally get a lot of feedback through my sub like ticking that seems to keep pretty good time. I have read that it may either be a bad ground or maybe poorly insulated wires. Any thoughts on this or how I may narrow it down?

Thanks all for your responses.
