TX-NR717 opinions

I am still figuring out the TX-NR717 but all is going well so far. Just wondering what the opinions of other owners here are. I saw one user mention that they experienced bad A/V sync on certain DTS-HD Blu-rays such as Lord of the Rings. As I have an older fat PS3, it converts everything to PCM first, so I can't test this. I'm thinking about upgrading to a PS3 slim or standalone Blu-ray player, but wanted to see if this is an issue that I am likely to run into as well.
