NR808 Issue - No audio Switching Empty NR808 Issue - No audio Switching

My 808 has worked with no problem for well over a year.

Two days ago I found that I had no audio on any inputs. Video was fine.

After a bunch of random remote button pushes everything started working again.

Yesterday I again had the same issue. The remote pushes didn't solve the issue this time, but a reload of the latest firmware did!

This morning I'm back to the same problem on power up.

Help?

I'm just going to take it back to my dealer who is also a service center.

It appears to be a heat issue. If I leave the unit on for a couple of hours and then go to Standby and back to on the unit will function until I shut it down.

My dealer verified my problem and although they are a service center, the unit was returned to Onkyo.

Got the word today that parts at Onkyo are on back-order for my unit.

I hope I don't fall into the multi-month hole that others have experienced...........

i'm having the same issue. When i first purchase my system it switched to multichannel every time i played a dvd or blu-ray. now after two firmware updates it does not switch.
