iPhone REMOTE 2 app v. 1.40 user info

Is there an up to date manual or instructional download available for this product? What does the TV REMOTE function button do? How do I tell the app my TV make and model if this function is supposed to give me basic remote control capabilities? Why is the app unable to perform a simple POWER ON/OFF function with my 515 AVR? Come on Onkyo, you make some very nice products and your customers would really like to utilize them to their fullest but you need to provide the documentation.

As the Onkyo Remote 2 App only supports HDMI-CEC controlled devices and is only compatible with currently selected amount of manufacturers and models- we do not support or advise this Remote App as an replacement to your TV remote controller. It is mainly supported to function with Onkyo and/or Integra products. You will not need to configure the Onkyo app the TV make and model- as the HDMI CEC functionality will provide this information and compatibility. If the TV is not HDMI-CEC compliant and you have not pressed the CEC button on the Remote App, you will not attempt any basic operation of the HDMI-CEC compliant device.
