NEW UNIT AND SAME ISSUES AS OLDER UNIT THAT WAS REPLACED BY PAID WARRANTY COVERAGE. I HAVE A NEW HT-RC360 (DISCONTINUED) AND THE HDMI IN ON ALL EXCEPT SATELIGHT DO NOT WORK. THE FIRST DAY OF OPERATION HAD NO PROBLEM. TRIED THE RESET CLEAR WITH NO SUCCESS. WHAT NEXT. ALSO NEED A REFERENCE NUMBER FOR WARRANTY

HDMI PROBLEMS
ALREADY WAS WALKED THROUGH DIFFERENT WAYS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. WAS TOLD AFTER NO HELPFUL PROCESS, TO TRY TO TRY THE FIRMWARE DOWNLOAD. THAT DIDN'T WORK EITHER. WHY WOULD THIS NEW UNIT WORK THE FIRST DAY PERFECTLY AND THE NEXT NOT. EVEN HOOKED IT UP AT FRIENDS HOUSE AND STILL DIDN'T WORK. THIS IS MY SECOND NEW ONKYO I BOUGHT AFTER THE EARLIER MODEL I HAD DID THE SAME. ALL WRITE UPS I READ SAID ONKYO IS FAMOUS FOR THIS PROBLEM AND BOUGHT ANYWAY. INSTEAD OF THE HASSLE, IN THE DUMPSTER IT GOES AND NO MORE ONYO PRODUCTS FOR ME. BETTER OFF BUYING CHEAP CRAP AT WALMART.

HDMI TX NR809
I have an Onkyo TX NR809 which is 1 year old this month (Nov 2012). The unit has been repaired 2 times now - once by the original seller, JR Music, and once by a local authorized shop, Normans Electronics, in Atlanta GA. In both cases the HDMI board was bad and needed replacement. In both cases I attempted to reach Onkyo "Customer service" and was thoroughly frustrated with your companies lack of support and response.
The same thing has happened again. Three of the 7 HDMI ports are no longer useable. I hesitate to take the unit in for repair as the last time it took 4 weeks to get a replacement HDMI board from Onkyo.
The Onkyo is matched to a 65" Samsung plasma TV (also 1 year old). I have a similar setup in another room with a Yamaha RXA 820 and have never had a problem.
I am seriously considering trashing the Onkyo unit and replacing with Yamaha. Based on what I have read on the numerous Onkyo forums, the quality of your products is seriously compromised.
BTW....I am an executive in North America with Murata Electronics. I understand what quality electronic components and assemly looks like,. This is not the case with Onkyo products today.
What will Onkyo do to make this right?
