Connecting Desktop to 5500 Receiver
I just finished setting up my new HT-S5500 HTIB. I am having a little difficulty understanding how to assign things, but am working my way through it. My question is this. I want to connect audio from the desktop computer in my office to the Onkyo 5500 receiver in the living room. I have a component audio cable(red/white) running from the computer to the living room, but am not sure how to hook it up with the receiver, the TV and the Directv box.
I also have an old Onkyo analog receiver that I used to play music from the computer and all I did was connect the component audio cable to the AUX and it worked fine. The new system sounds so good I'm going to eliminate the old receiver and speakers - if I can get this to work. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
