TX-NR609 (HT-S7409 package) Android app: "data acquiring" forever.

I would really like to use the Android app to managed the Net mode, and also to send music, but if I go to Net mode it says "Connecting... Acquiring data" forever (20 minutes or more), and if I try to play music from my phone to the receiver, it just doesn't work.

Other functions work; I can change modes on the receiver, for example. It just appears to be anything requiring any kind of non-trivial data transfer. If the problem is my home network, it's not an obvious problem; we pass data around constantly, much of it quite large.

Help?

Please provide the following information for further testing and evaluation with this issue:

1. MODEL of the phone(Android OS version:
2. Android App version:
3. Onkyo AV Receiver F/W version:
4. Network environment:
-Model Name of router?
-Ethernet connection or wireless connection(UWF1) with our AVR?

5. If the receiver doesn’t have the latest F/W version for our devices, please try to update them. Please check the latest version below as of today.

Android app: 1.40 (Ex) TXNR609: 1141-1600-0010-8106

My network setup is exceedingly complex; it would perhaps be better if you told me what your requirements are. The short version is that the Onkyo is connected via ethernet to a WRT54-GL router running Tomato firmware. But nothing in the internal network has ever had any trouble accessing anything else in the internal network, so I *really* doubt that that's the issue. If the Onkyo needs to talk *outside* the network for this to work, then yes, that may be a problem; do you have more details in that case?

Ah, since it didn't say anything about needing an update I didn't try that; I've got it updating now, I'll let you know.
