HT-S9100THX HDMI INPUTS ARE NOT DETECTING SIGNAL PROPERLY Empty HT-S9100THX HDMI INPUTS ARE NOT DETECTING SIGNAL PROPERLY

I have owned this Onkyo HT-S9100THX receiver for about 3 years. It has been a good receiver until recently, (last 30-60 days). I first noticed the problem with the HDMI input #1 when I tried to watch my Blu-ray DVD player. It indicated there was no signal to my TV. I switched to my cable input HDMI #3 and I got a signal from my Cabel tv box. I determines at that point the HDMI cables from Onkyo output to my TV input and Xfinity box to my Onkyo input to be OK.

Next, I replaced the blu-ray player with a new one and it still did not work using the same input #1. Trying all the other Onkyo HDMI Inputs I still was not getting the signal through to the TV. I then connected the HDMI cable directly to my TV and was able to watch the blu-ray player but, of course, without 6.1 / 7.1 audio offered on the disk. After playing around for a while and switching cables, inputs and devices, the Onkyo starter working. That lasted until I turned it off so I quit using the blu-ray player.

I have a DVD player connected to HDMI #2 and it worked. With 90% of my video collection is DVD, I was getting by.

Then I added an Apple TV to HDMI input #4. It worked fine for a few days then the dreaded 'no signal' started with that input. I did the same trouble shooting: changed cables, changed inputs then connected directly to my TV. The Apple TV works fine connected directly to my TV.

So, I did a system reset, reconfigured to my devices, and the Blu-ray and Apple TV worked until I shut off the Onkyo. I started to play with different ideas and have reached the conclusion that the HDMI board in the Onkyo may be going bad.

Today, I was able to watch my Apple TV after turning on the Onkyo and letting it get warm for about an hour or more. The cable input started to work after the Onkyo was on for about 15-20 minutes.

I would appreciate any help Onkyo Support and/or other users can provide, including where I can get this Receiver fixed if my diagnosis is correct.
Also, what might this repair cost? Is the board easy to change? I have spent most of my life in the electronics and telecommunications fields.
