These are the 3 Onkyo products I have purchased in the past 5 years. The 605, after 2.5 years had the HDMI board go bad as per authorized dealer. I did not fix. The 360 started to display the same symptoms of the HDMI board going bad after just 1.5 years. I gave it to a neighbor who uses it as an am/fm receiver only. My latest 609, after just 9 months is having HDMI out problems too. Only audio and no video. I know how to trouble shoot this problem, after all, I have had the same problems for 4.5 years.

Can someone from Onkyo please help me with this issue ? I refuse to pay for repairs ( expensive and inconvenient to say the least ) especially since the unit is less than 1 year old. I have been a loyal Onkyo buyer for more than 5 years and expect better from a Japanese company that prides itself on innovation, price and features. You are a leader in this market but can't help feeling cheated and misled. This is more than a coincidence . Is there a design flaw ?

I do not have a problem with heat, poor cables, firmware, TV's, or any other external problems. The problem is the HDMI out Board and wish you could just send me a new one so I could replace it myself. I noticed others having similar problems so it is an Onkyo issue, one I feel should be fixed through out the entire product line that uses the same board.

Is it me or is it Onkyo ? Please help me fix it.

Please reply back to the following email address (onkyoadmin@us.onkyo.com) with the serial number of your HT-RC 360 receiver. We would like more information to help resolve this issue you are experiencing and please also include a copy of your sales receipt along with the email. A Product Support/ Parts and Services representative will contact you promptly with the next steps to have your receiver serviced. Onkyo parts are only available to be sold and service by authorized service centers. They are not available to be sold to the general public, please refer to your nearest authorized Onkyo service center regarding having the parts specified ordered and installed by the service center.

They can be contacted at 201-785-2600, option # 4 for Parts & Services as they can further assist you regarding Onkyo Parts and Accessories.
