TX-NR616 - Firmware Update Fails (Error 3-89)

Morning.

I hooked up my Onyko TX-NR616 to my network last night and was offered a firmware update. I accepted, however, it failed at about 24% installation (writing vsp) and came up with error message 3-89.

I reset the receiver, tried again, but again it keeps failing with that message. The receiver isn't outputting video anymore, though sound seems to be working. What can I do to fix this issue so that the firmware updates properly and (hopefully) restores the functionality of my unit.

How are you attempting to do the latest firmware version onto this receiver- ethernet or USB? As the latest firmware version must be done via USB using a USB flash drive, if you are still having this issue with thie receiver, (instead of resetting the receiver) please power cycle the receiver by unplugging from the power source for 3-5 minutes and repowering and retrying the F/W update. Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm not sure which version of firmware it is as my receiver simply prompted me to upgrade after I plugged in the Ethernet connection. I will try via USB with the latest firmware and let you know if it works.
