TX-NR515 DLNA Issue
I've owned this receiver for about 2 months and for the most part I've been satisfied with it. I have not experienced the HDMI dropout issue, but there is one issue that has been annoying me since day one. The receiver does not recognize any of my Windows Media Player servers when the NET:DLNA function is selected.
The receiver is connected to the modem/router via ethernet, not through any wireless dongle. I can see the receiver on my network computers, I can even stream music to it using the "play to" function, but whenever the the NET:DLNA function is activated all i get is "NO SERVER." Yesterday I updated to the latest firmware from the Onkyo website. This update added a new icon to the NET function, HOME MEDIA. Now when I select the HOME MEDIA function, the receiver shows each of the servers, but when a server is selected it goes through the "connecting" process then says "NO ITEMS."
I've performed a hard reset of the receiver (CBL/SAT:POWER) numerous times. Reset the modem/router, exchanged cables all to no avail. Why does one function of the receiver (HOME MEDIA) recognize the servers but won't find any of the files, yet another function (DLNA) won't even recognize the servers?
